Title:  Sustainability Manager

Job Purpose

  • The Corporate Sustainability Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the sustainable corporate strategy and roadmap, driving ESG performance across the value chain and the organization.

Main Scope/Responsibilities

  • Implement the corporate sustainability strategy for JESA, aligning with global standards, industry best practices, and stakeholder expectations
  • Identify and assess environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities, and develop appropriate mitigation and enhancement measures
  • Establish and maintain strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, including senior executives, to drive sustainability initiatives and embed sustainability principles into business decision-making processes
  • Development and Implementation of ESG reporting frameworks and processes, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting of sustainability metrics to internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and standards, and proactively advise senior management on potential impacts and opportunities.
  • Support Sustainability Integration into Business Processes: Integrate sustainability principles into core business processes, such as project management, engineering design, procurement, and construction
  • Deliver sustainability training programs to enhance awareness and knowledge among employees, fostering a culture of sustainability within the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with the communication team for sustainability-related communications, including the production of sustainability reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external audiences
  • Support the Head to engage with clients, suppliers, and other external stakeholders to drive collaboration and sustainability initiatives throughout the supply chain, assess their sustainability needs, and provide advisory services on implementing sustainable practices
  • Monitor and track progress against sustainability goals and targets, and regularly report to the Head of Corporate Sustainability

Main Scope/Responsibilities (continued)

Education

  • Bachelor's/ Masters Degree
  • Curricula: Sustainability, engineering, environmental science,  business, or a related field 

Global Experience

  • Minimum 10 Years

Specific Experience in the position

  • Specific experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, initiatives, and projects in a corporate setting is key.  Experience in energy transition is a plus.
