Title:  Senior Urban Designer

Job Purpose

We are Looking for a senior urban designer who has an expertise and high ability to articulate a multidisciplinary team. develops and manages plans for the development and growth of cities and communities. Analyze various factors like land use, transportation, and environmental impacts to create sustainable and well-functioning urban environments that meet the needs of residents. They work with stakeholders, including governments, developers, and community members, to implement these plans and ensure they align with regulations and long-term goals. This professional must be fully embedded in an advanced digital culture of providing Data management to envision strategic planning. A strategic thinker, a skilled communicator, and a problem-solver who shapes the future of urban environments by balancing various needs and considerations.

As a Senior Urban Designer / Masterplanner, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing and executing high-caliber master planning projects that enrich urban life. You will harness advanced design tools such as Grasshopper and Rhino to develop creative, technically robust solutions, ensuring each project responds uniquely to its brief, site, and context. Working on high-profile urban developments, you’ll lead the design process from initial concept through to detailed planning, making a tangible impact on the quality and vitality of the city.

Main Scope/Responsibilities

• Develop and refine innovative urban design and master planning concepts using Grasshopper and Rhino.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to conceptualize and deliver projects that harmonize aesthetics, functionality, and sustainable urban growth.
• Lead the creative process, managing design workshops, client briefs, and stakeholder presentations.
• Tailor each urban design response to reflect the unique context, program, and opportunities of each master planning project.
• Maintain the quality and integrity of design outputs while ensuring alignment with industry standards and sustainability objectives

Qualification

• Extensive experience in urban design and master planning within a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Proficiency in Grasshopper and Rhino, with a keen eye for detail and a capacity to manage complex design data.
• Demonstrated creativity and technical expertise in delivering successful master planning projects.
•Strong collaborative skills and the ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams while communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• A passion for pushing Design boundaries and an ambition to shape vibrant, liveable urban spaces.

Global Experience

Strategic Planning: Creating comprehensive plans for land use, transportation, housing, and public spaces, considering economic, social, and environmental factors. 

Stakeholder Engagement: Working with diverse groups like government officials, developers, and community members to gather input and ensure plans are inclusive. 

Data Analysis and Research: Analyzing demographic data, economic trends, environmental impacts, and other relevant information to inform planning decisions. 

Land Use Management: Developing and implementing zoning regulations and growth management strategies to guide development and manage urban sprawl. 

Project Management: Overseeing the implementation of urban planning projects, ensuring they align with plans and regulations. 

Communication and Presentation: Effectively communicating planning proposals and reports to various stakeholders. 

Knowledge of Regulations: Staying up-to-date on zoning laws, building codes, environmental regulations, and other relevant legislation. 

Problem-Solving: Addressing challenges related to transportation, affordable housing, environmental concerns, and other issues facing urban areas.
