Title:  Senior Network IT Engineer

Job Purpose

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing the local and wide area networks of the JESA organization to ensure maximum uptime for users. The role includes also designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary.

Main Scope/Responsibilities

• Design and implement functional company networks ((LAN, WLAN, WAN)
• Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices
• Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
• Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
• Mentor team members on technical issues
• Maintain complete technical documentation
• Communicate with users when needed
• Ensuring availability to all system users and Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations
• Reporting to the Network and Security Manager
• Monitoring the network and suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability

Education

• Engineering Degree
• Curricula: Computers sciences- Security and Network fields

Global Experience

• 10 years minimum

Specific Experience in the position

• 5 years minimum with advanced knowledge of network operating systems including Cisco and others
• Previous work experience as a Networking Engineer
• Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of  employer's business and industry needs, as well as the technical demands with additional network/LAN/WAN certifications
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
