Title:  Principal Scheduler

Job Purpose

Assist PM and/or Program PCM with managing project planning systems and procedures, executing schedule development, analysis updates and maintenance, monitoring and reporting on major projects, and direct involvement in Interactive Planning. Understand and apply Planning & Scheduling Best Practices. Able to monitor multiple project schedules. Proof resource loading and validate durations.

 

Confirm activity sequenceing in the schedule. Confirm float in the schedule. Validate baseline schedules are maintaned up-to-date. Able guide PM, PCM that planning comes before scheduling. Contributes to development of new or improved techniques and standards. Has considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Interacts with internal and external personnel on major matters.

Main Scope/Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed Project Plans, 
  • Monitor and control planning activities all JSTEPS
  • Liaise with and obtain information from Lead Engineers, Project Engineers, CM and QS for update reporting purposes
  • Coordinate with Cost Controller all necessary progress measurement based on resource loading hours.
  • Develop Procurement Plan (per strategy), Construction schedule L3 and Cx if feasible. Able to coordinate L4/L5 with construction contractors.
  • Lead schedulers with less experience into Best Practices. Coordinate and align with Estimating the WBS & AWP structure.
  • Resource loading of project schedules, levelling and analysis and production of staffing histograms to support projects. As per WBS and/or AWP.
