Title:  Legal Counsel

Job Purpose

Provide research, advice and other legal assistance to employees at various levels of the organization.  

Main Scope/Responsibilities

• Provides legal research and writes briefs on more complex legal topics.
• Assists in identifying and finding solutions to mitigate legal risk within the organization.
• Drafts simple and complex contracts and other documents for review. Review private and public proposals and contracts and advising on how to mitigate the arising risks
• Other responsibilities in support of the Corporate Counsel or Legal Department.
• Coordinates legal claims under the supervision of Corporate Counsel. Works with other departments and field staff to support their legal needs. 
• Deliver internal training on legal and contractual issues, but also business risk management 
   

Education

• Bac+3 (but a Bac +5 is preferred)

Global Experience

• 1-3 years

Specific Experience in the position

• Relevant and successful experience as a legal counsel preferably with an international engineering and/or construction company and/or with a law firm.
