Title:  Financial Controller

Job Purpose

  • A Financial Controller is responsible for managing accounting, financial reporting, and tax filing activities within JESA GROUP to ensure that they are effective and efficient. Managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, and publishing financial statements.Overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, and coordinating auditing processes. Handling tax matters, preparing financial reports, and ensuring organizational financial stability.

Main Scope/Responsibilities

  • Recommend changes in policies or procedures that will improve financial performance and participate in the definition and implementation of procedures, manual of procedures, accounting, tax, financial rules and establishment of good practices. Focus on reducing risk during financial transactions and report generation through department and organization-wide controls.
  • Coordinate with accounting Managers and their teams, and monitor all financial transaction activities and ensure accuracy for different aspects : Accounting Payable, General Ledger entries, Asset, Payroll... 
  • Oversee the tax preparation duties for the various legal entities, and submission of tax declarations to the tax department  
  • Providing accurate financial reports to management.This can include monthly, quarterly and annual reports for management and executives, along with financial statements that are issued to shareholders and taxing authorities.Ensure that these reports are timely, accurate, and prepared according to internal and external guidelines.
  • Participate in the implementation of any new Financial system or solutions;
  • Participate in the financial studies and Tax saving activities.
  • Lead accounting processes (RTR, OTC, PTP) transactions' optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure timely and accurate balance sheet accounts' reconciliation and compliance with relevant policies.
  • Lead direct reportees career development and build strong capabilities and talent bench for succession planning.    
  • Manage interfaces with internal and external auditors and controllers of the tax administration, exchange office or others
  • Ensure the implementation of internal control rules and their compliance by the teams
  • Stay current with accounting regulations and changes in accounting standards; assess the impact on the company's financial reporting and implement necessary updates
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, for the domestic and foreign legal entities in accordance with GAAP and relevant financial regulations, and participate in the Financial consolidation process

Education

  • Master's Degree in Finance & Accounting.

  • 8 to 14 years

Specific Experience in the position

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Head of Accounting and Taxation, Head / Financial Director, preferably in a multinational
    Strong experience in Accounting, Tax, budgeting, Cash Management, and audit. Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience is required
