Title: Principal Digital & Data Engineer
Job Purpose
Full owner for managing end-to-end projects as part of the Digital Transformation program (Data projects, Digital products projects, Systems implementation projects). Responsible for the project's ultimate success, and the managing of all related activities, from requirements gathering and analysis to implementation and scale-up, in addition to project control and monitoring activities.
The Principal Digital & Data Engineer/Specialist makes sure each stakeholder intervenes at the appropriate stage and provides the expected output, mitigating risks hindering project progress, and ensuring to get enough leadership support to make the project achieve its target success criteria. He/she is also responsible for the deliverables quality (code, functional analysis, user experience, etc.), project expected output (incld. large scale adoption), and team health. The Principal Digital & Data Engineer/Specialist acts independently, builds his/her network inside the organization, and mobilizes the right teams to support his/her project objectives.
Main Scope/Responsibilities
- Defines project concept and initial estimates
- Ensures process mapping, users’ requirements and data model analysis are performed at the highest standards
- Mobilize the appropriate execution team, including associated commercial tasks required (issue PR, conduct RFP, chose system providers, etc.)
- Crafts the product testing strategy, conducts system/product testing and ensure the deployment in the right environment is correctly conducted and compliant with technical standards
- Monitor and controls the productivity and quality of the development
- Crafts and maintains standard documents and presentations for the product/system – manage preparation, coordinate revisions, ensure documents are readily available and usable on OneDrive
- Owns the Product/System strategy development process and associated product scope, roadmap and delivery methodology, involving the right stakeholders in due time (PO, Projects, Design team, etc.)
- Manages the administration approach and operations of the products/systems in their portfolio, support projects in the usage of the products/systems (drafts adoption methodology and drives its activities). Responsible for user feedback & behaviours incorporation the roadmap. Monitors system functionality, maintenance, and adoption. Identify synergies for the product development and/or implementation with other systems/products
- Leads project control and performance management: Budget development, tracking and forecasting, High level schedule development, tracking and forecasting, performance management, reporting, commercial activities tracking and follow-up
- Leads research on potential product improvement opportunities (technical and functional)
Education
- Bac+4 / Bac+5
- Curricula: Engineering / Business Administration/ Liberal Arts
Global Experience
- 6-10 years
Specific Experience in the position
- 2 years in industrial projects context
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently, deliver excellent results and good quality deliverables, provide well-crafted analysis, display great interpersonal and communication skills, be customer-focused and plan, prioritize and work under pressure to meet set deadlines
